The 2025 Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) USA took place on August 1st to 3rd at the University of Miami, on the ancestral territories and traditional homelands of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida, and the Council of the Original Miccosukee Simanolee Nation Aboriginal Peoples.

With representation from over 35 US states and Territories, the conference welcomed over 150 youth delegates. The delegates included members of the LGBTQIA+, Native American, BIPOC, Latine, Middle Eastern, Disability, AAPI, and African American communities. 

Delegate discussions covered themes of Mitigation, Adaptation, and Just Transition split across a variety of issue areas. Through these discussions, delegates shared their unique perspectives and community contexts to co-create a shared knowledge of the critical climate issues communities across the United States face.
